Driftwood Jar

Driftwood Jar

4" high x 4.5" wide

This lidded jar is made from a medium brown clay and is dipped in a runny white glaze. Its handle is a piece of drifwood found in the sand along Limatour Beach at Point Reyes National Seashore. It is fastened with a piece of sterling silver wire and an another piece of drifwood on the underside of the lid.

This little jar is perfect for decorating your mantel, hiding your stash, or storing your sugar. This little jar is ready to be your belonging.

  • This jar was wheelthrown, air-dried and sanded, fired to 1945 degrees, brushed in glaze, and fired again to 2232 degrees.

Each belonging is made by me in my garden studio with my own two hands. No two items are exactly the same, including sets and multiples, and variations in size, shape, and finish are inevitable and to be celebrated.
